Editorial Policy Of TRAVEL WITH THOUSIF

Editorial Policy Of TRAVEL WITH THOUSIF

How TRAVEL WITH THOUSIF researches, writes, reviews, and updates its travel guides, itineraries, and reviews, plus our rules on sources, ads, and corrections.

The standards, research rules, and review process behind every travel guide, itinerary, tip, and story we publish on the TRAVEL WITH THOUSIF blog.

About This Policy

The TRAVEL WITH THOUSIF blog helps people travel smarter, safer, and with less stress.

This page explains how our blog posts are planned, researched, written, reviewed, updated, and corrected, and how readers can hold us accountable.

We follow this policy on every post we publish.

Who Writes Our Blog Posts

Our blog was started by Thousif Ziya, who has been exploring the world since 2015.

Today our posts are written and reviewed by the TRAVEL WITH THOUSIF team.

Every post carries an author name, and author pages explain who our writers are and what they have travelled and written about.

We may publish guest posts from travellers or experts. Guest posts go through the same research, review, and editing standards as our own posts, and the guest author is clearly named.

What We Publish

  • Destination guides: where to go, what to see, how to get around and when to visit.
  • Itineraries: day-by-day plans for different trip lengths, budgets and types of travellers.
  • Travel tips: visas, documents, packing, money, safety, flights and stays.
  • Travel stories: real experiences from our own trips, including what went wrong and how we fixed it.
  • Reviews: hotels, airlines, tours, travel products and services.
  • Family, elder and group travel: planning advice for travelling with kids, parents, grandparents and large groups.
  • Pilgrimage travel: practical planning for religious and spiritual journeys.
  • Web Stories and videos: short visual versions of our guides, held to the same standards as our full posts.

How We Choose Topics

We choose topics based on three questions:

  • Will this help a real traveller plan a better trip?
  • Can the key facts be checked?
  • Does our post add something useful that readers cannot easily find elsewhere?

We do not publish rumours as facts, and we do not chase clicks at the cost of accuracy.

How We Research

We use official and reliable sources wherever possible, including embassy and consulate websites, government visa and immigration portals, airline and airport notices, official tourism boards and published travel advisories.

When we cite a source, we name it or link to it.

For visas, entry rules, health and safety, we always check an official source before publishing.

If something cannot be confirmed, we leave it out or clearly say it is unconfirmed.

We never invent experiences, reviews, quotes, prices or details.

First-Hand Experience

Where we have personally visited a place, stayed at a hotel, taken a tour or used a service, we say so in the post.

Where a post is based on research rather than a personal visit, we make that clear too.

How We Review Hotels, Airlines And Products

We judge what we review on what matters to travellers: value for money, safety, cleanliness, location, comfort, service, and suitability for families, elders and groups.

We share both the good and the bad.

If something was given to us for free or at a discount, we say so at the start of the review.

A free stay, trip or product never guarantees a positive review.

How We Show Prices And Budgets

Every price in our posts shows the currency and the time it was checked.

Where useful, we show prices in Indian rupees along with the local currency.

Budgets in our posts are estimates based on the stated travel style, season, and group size. Actual costs will vary.

Prices change often, so always confirm current prices before you book.

How We Write

Our writing is plain, direct and easy to read.

We use short paragraphs, clear headings and simple language so readers from any country can follow along.

We avoid hype, exaggeration and misleading “best” claims.

Use Of AI Tools

We may use AI tools for research, outlines, or first drafts.

AI tools never decide what we recommend.

A member of our team checks every fact, price, rule, and recommendation, and edits every post before it is published.

Editing And Review

Every post is reviewed by a member of our team before publishing.

Our review checks facts, links, prices, dates, safety information, spelling, and readability.

Health, Safety And Medical Content

Our posts share practical travel advice, not medical, legal, or immigration advice.

For health concerns, vaccinations or medical travel, please consult a qualified doctor.

For visas and immigration, always rely on the official embassy or government website.

Religious And Pilgrimage Content

We write about religious places and pilgrimages with respect and care.

We follow each holy site’s official rules and share them accurately.

We do not take sides between faiths or communities.

Respect For Places And People

We write about every destination, culture and community with respect.

We avoid language that stereotypes or stigmatises any group based on religion, race, gender, nationality, caste or disability.

We do not encourage illegal, unsafe or disrespectful behaviour anywhere.

Use Of Images

We use our own photos, images we have the rights to use, images licensed from approved providers, or images properly credited to their source.

We do not edit images to make a place look different from reality.

When an image is illustrative rather than of the exact place described, we say so in the caption.

Where possible, we avoid publishing clear photos of private individuals without their permission.

We link to sources that help readers, such as official websites, maps and booking pages.

Some posts contain affiliate links. If you book through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. A commission never decides what we recommend.

Sponsored and affiliate links are marked in line with search engine guidelines.

Any sponsored post will be clearly labelled at the top and kept separate from our regular posts.

We do not sell positive coverage, and we do not remove honest criticism in exchange for payment.

How We Are Funded

The blog is free for readers and is funded by advertising, including Google AdSense, and by affiliate partnerships.

Advertisers have no say in what we write or recommend.

Our Travel Business And The Blog

TRAVEL WITH THOUSIF also plans trips for corporates, families, medical travellers, pilgrims and wedding parties, as the travel division of THOUSIF INTERNATIONAL IMPORTS AND EXPORTS.

Our blog posts are written to help every reader, whether or not they ever book with us.

Where a post mentions our own services, we make it clear that the service is ours.

Keeping Posts Up To Date

Travel information changes quickly.

We regularly review our most-read posts, prioritizing visa rules, entry requirements, prices, and safety information.

Each post shows the date it was published and the date it was last updated.

When we make a significant update, we add a note explaining what changed and when.

We do not silently rewrite posts to hide earlier errors.

Outdated Posts

If a post can no longer be kept accurate, we update it, merge it into a better post, or remove it.

Corrections

We aim for accuracy, but mistakes can still happen.

When we find or are told about a mistake, we fix it as soon as possible and add a visible correction note to the post.

Comments And Reader Contributions

We welcome comments, questions, and travel experiences from readers.

We remove comments that are spam, abusive, hateful, misleading, or promotional.

Comments reflect the views of the people who write them, not of TRAVEL WITH THOUSIF.

All original posts, photos, and videos on this blog belong to TRAVEL WITH THOUSIF unless stated otherwise.

If you believe any content on our blog uses your work without permission, write to us, and we will review it promptly.

Reader Feedback And Complaints

Readers can write to us with feedback, travel questions, story ideas, corrections, or complaints.

We read every message and respond to genuine concerns within a reasonable time.

How This Policy Is Maintained

This policy is reviewed regularly.

When we update it, we change the date below.
